She was born Saturday, March 3, 1956, in Muncie, the daughter of Stanley J. and Mary Ann (Lacy) Davenport. Amy loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren, and her sister. She was one to help others in times of need and she enjoyed going to festivals and shopping. Amy drove a school bus for many years and loved all of her school kids. She also was a Dietary Aide and worked at Muncie Health Care for several years. Amy was a faithful member of Glad Tidings Church.
Survivors include her companion, Albert King; son, Brandon (wife, Melissa) Winchester; sister, Jackie Yadon; three grandchildren, Carter Winchester, Mia Winchester, and Amelia Winchester; uncle, Larry (wife, Johnetta) Marker; two nephews, Jack Wilson, and David Wilson; and her canine companions.
Her father, Stanley Jack Davenport; and her mother, Mary Ann Lacy, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
