Allie "Sue" Riley

Sue was born on July 27, 1940 in Byrdstown, TN to the late Montersville and Maggie Flowers. She leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, her husband of sixty-six years, Curtis F. Riley. Sue was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed being a grandmother and was well known among family and friends for her good cooking and welcoming nature. Sue never met a stranger and she always loved to laugh. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Sue is survived by two daughters, Judy Himes (husband Gary) Jennifer Morgan, (husband Jessie), six grandchildren, Gunner Walburn, Rhylan Morgan, Tylor Himes (wife Allyson) Tanner Himes (wife Lynnsey) Gary Himes Jr. (wife Tohnya) and Kristi Oulvey(husband David), one brother Junior Flowers, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Geneva Flowers, Verna Hester, Agnes Jolley and brother Lynn Flowers.

Visiting hours will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home on August 18th from 5-7 pm. Larry Waters will be officiating a funeral service in Sue’s remembrance at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Ave., Muncie, Indiana 47304 at 11:00 am on August 19, 2023 where Sue will then be laid to rest.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to First Merchants Bank, 2101 S. Madison St. Muncie, Indiana 47302 in care of Curtis F. Riley. In honor of Sue’s memory donations will be donated to a charity of his choice.
