Victor was a long time physical therapy patient and friend. I'll miss our one hour appointments every Tuesday and Thursday. Victor was truly an amazing person who genuinely cared about everyone around him. Even as his Parkinsons worsened he always asked about my staff and our lives. He was such a great family man. We always filled our hour with stories about each other's families. Victor will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to his family.

Victor was larger than life. He had such a wonderful and kind personality. I haven't seen Victor and Yvette for years now but always remember them both fondly.
I recall Victor kind of shaking his shoulders as if he was trying to make his suit jacket fit more comfortably.  It was just a nervous tic for him but very endearing.  He was a kind, thoughtful and generous man.
He will be greatly missed but I'm thankful that he no longer suffers. Rest in peace Victor,  no one deserves it more.

I first met Victor in 1978 when I worked in the purchasing dept at JCPenneys and he was the salesman.  He later hired me to come work for his company in 1980.  Back then it was Packaging Systems and later changed to Fasco and finally Paxar.  Victor was the most caring man.  Family was extremely important to him.  He was not only a well-respected businessman, he was also a friend to many.  My deepest condolences go out to Yvette and family.  Rest In Peace Victor. You were loved by many.

R.I.P Mr. Hershaft

I knew Victor as a child. My parents and his  were dear friends. I have fond memories of the whole family who we visited in Elmira after they moved from the Bronx. Howard was closer to me in age and we enjoyed a friendship. I remember them as a wonderful, close and loving family. When I saw Victor Hershshaft’s notice today the memories flooded back. I wonder if Howard would remember the Kerners of Sheridan Avenue? My condolences to your family.

My heartfelt sympathy to Yvette and the family. I was blessed to have worked for Victor in Pearl River and White Plains.  When I told Victor I was leaving to work across the bridge, closer to home, he told me he felt like we were getting divorced (to work at Paxar, you were family). 

Victor was the kindest, most respected man     I have ever known. He was loved by all who had the honor of knowing him. Victor had the warmest smile and huge heart toward everyone - especially his family whom he loved and adored beyond measure. 

He will be greatly missed. ❤️

Victor was a friend, an inspirational leader and a great mentor. I'll miss our lunches and great conversations.  I loved Victor's old- fashioned sense of humor.  He was downright charming.  Yvette, sending you my best. He was a true gem.  What a gift it was to know Victor.

A big man with a big heart, Victor was a good and generous friend who could cheer up a room with his broad smile and (admittedly, sometimes awful) jokes. Even during his long, brave battle with Parkinsons, he could lift the spirits of those around him. A good friend for more than half a century, he will be sorely missed; even   as his memory remains a blessing for all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him. With heartfelt sympathy for Yvette and his family, whom he  treasured. enormously.

Victor was a wonderful man and a great leader.  He was such a genuine person who mentored all the people around him.  Bless him and the family.   May Victor rest in peace and his legacy will live on in all of us.   

Victor was a dear, dear friend. His passing leaves a big hole in my heart. We first met in college and were fraternity brothers. Our friendship lasted 63 years. We shared many family life cycle events, together, and remained fast friends. Yvette and my wife, Dorothy, rounded out the foursome. We will miss the lilt in his voice the incredibly warm, caring presence that he radiated and his "distinctive" jokes. Victor was family with an uppercase F. Our hearts go out to Yvette and the entire family in this time of sorrow.

Victor was the kind of man, went one day he was in Sayre and going through the plant. He stopped to see me to give his condolences on my father’s passing. He had such a kind heart.  A genuine kind person.  Now he is with our Lord our Father.
