Stanley W. Jones, age 69, of Mount Morris, PA passed away at 10:00 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at home. He was born on January 14, 1954 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Melvin P. Jones and Mildred Moore Jones. Mr. Jones was a lifelong resident of Greene County. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, was a scuba instructor and was always very involved with UMWA rallies and activities. He was a coal miner at the Kirby Mine and retired after 40 years of service in 2016. He was always there to help his neighbors and friends whenever they needed him. His wife Deborah Wolford Jones, whom he married on July 6, 2002 survives. Also surviving are: 1 Son: Travis Jones of Graysville, PA, 2 Stepdaughters: Heather (Keith) Rountree of NC and Holly Higgins of Mount Morris, PA, 1 Stepson: Michael Higgins of Grant Town, WV, 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Sisters: Loretta (William) Conner of Brave, PA and Connie (Ken) Braham of Waynesburg, PA, 1 Brother: David Jones of Brave, PA and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the time of service on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. 324 Mt. Morris Rd./P.O.
