Helen Reeves Romero

Helen Reeves Romero, 98, of Moss Bluff was born August 26, 1912 and passed away June 03, 2011 in her residence. Helen was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Westlake.

Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, knitting, and working in her yard. She was a person of extreme faith and was a very active member of the Nazarene Church for many years. She loved visiting with her family and many friends.

Mrs. Romero is survived by her two daughters Peggy Faulk and husband Ray Faulk and Yvonne Pilley Crumpler and husband D.C. Crumpler, one granddaughter Kayla VanWinkle and husband Pete VanWinkle, two great grandchildren Page VanWinkle Hyatt and husband Chris and Courtney VanWinkle Winters and husband Matt, and three great- great grandchildren: Brock Evan Dennis, Drew Addison Hyatt, and Piper Jade Hyatt. She is preceded in death by her husband Dewey J. Romero and grandson Dwayne Moore.

Funeral services for Mrs. Romero will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff at 1PM Monday, June 6, 2011 with burial to follow in Ritchie Cemetery. Reverend Mike Howard will officiate. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 5PM until 8PM and will resume on Monday from 8 AM until time of service.
