born on February 26, 1955 to parents Kenneth Casey and Mary Jane Stedman (Casey) in
Butte, Montana. He was the fifth of eight siblings. In 1969, during the Vietnam War, Bob’s family
suffered the loss of his older brother, Danny. Bob held onto his brother’s spirit for the remainder
of his life as a source of comfort and inspiration.
At age 17, Bob served in the United States Army at Fort Eustis, Virginia for two years as an
Equipment Operator and Mechanic. He met Penny shortly thereafter and he knew she was the
one, when asking her to a steak dinner for their first date, she ordered a roast beef sandwich. In
1974, the pair ran away to Reno, Nevada and eloped. Penny and Bob welcomed their son in to
the world in 1976, followed by a move to Washington and the birth of their daughter, Nicole, in
1978.
Bob Worked for Westinghouse in Tukwilla, Washington as a High Voltage Electrician for 23
years before his resignation. He became an entrepreneur and went into business for himself
shortly after. Prior to his final move to Randle, Washington in 2006, he had lived in Burien,
Tukwilla, Renton, and Enumclaw; a man of bravery and adventure.
Having a great love for horses and a gift for breaking them, Bob was a true cowboy. He was an
avid bowhunter, a man of God, and always ready with a verse from the Bible to share and
comfort those in need. Bob felt that being in the woods was where he was closest with God. His
incredible sense of humor and love for his family inspired all. Loving his wife dearly, he and
Penny always seized the chance to share a dance to their favorite song, The Tennessee Waltz,
and a sweet smile over a roast beef sandwich.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Penny Casey; children, Travis Casey (Shanna Casey), and
Nicole Rapp (Sean Rapp); brothers, Kenneth Casey and Randy Casey; four grandchildren,
Patrick Perdue, Griffin Rapp, Gavin Rapp, Ragan Rapp; mother-in-law, Helen Zeise; along with
his many nieces and nephews.
At present, there are no scheduled services. Bob has expressed his wish for his ashes to be
scattered in his beloved camping and hunting grounds. Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Brown Mortuary Service, Morton.
