Wayne Edward Johns

Wayne E. Johns, age 75, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, but attended Bean Station First Baptist Church. He retired from Futuristic in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Zora Johns; and grandson, Austin Johns.Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Wilma Johns; sons, Scott (Rita) Johns and Tracy (Kristen) Johns; grandchildren, Miranda, Mason, Gracie, and Blake; sister, Phyllis Keaton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7th at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Derek Drummond and Rev. Justin Self officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday at 12:45 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the healthcare workers and caregivers who helped in Mr. John’s care. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
