James F. Turner

James Franklin Turner, age 85, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Serenity House. He was saved as a young man at Statem Gap Baptist Church. James enjoyed farming and founded and ran a trailer storage business. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bethel Inez Turner; parents, Clifford “RC” and Della Turner; sister-in-law, Annette Turner; and nephew, Steve Ivy.

Survivors include his sons, Eddie (Donna) Turner and Jerry (Kellie Ward) Turner; grandson, James “Boo” Turner; granddaughter, Hannah Turner; sister, Jo Ann (John D) Ivy; brother, Howard (Glenda) Turner; and nephew, Tim Turner.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev Scott Vaughn and Rev Doug Livesay officiating. Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday morning at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Serenity House.
