James Austin Collins Sr.

Austin was an avid fisherman and he loved his fur baby, Bambie. He was a member at Old Spruce Pine Baptist Church in Mooresburg.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary Magdalene, his parents, Steve and Mossie Collins of Treadway, brothers, Bruce, Bill, Brad, and Earl Collins, and sister, Dollie Winstead all of Treadway.

He is survived by his children, James (Sherry) Collins of Morristown, Patsy (Eddie) Horton of Rogersville, Jeff (Melissa) Collins, Tammy (Donnie) Holder, and Jason Collins all of Mooresburg. Grandchildren, Casey (Ben) Idell, Steven (Katie) Anderson, Jesse Collins, and Josh Anderson (Ariel Parrott). Great-grandchildren, Brody and Blaine Idell and Lydia Henry. Brothers, Junior and Lester Collins and Milburn Gibson. Sisters, Betty Seal, Marie Williams, Lois Cope, Evelyn Cope, and Bonnie Winstead. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5:00-7:00pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 7pm with Reverend Billy Johnson officiating.

Family and friends will gather at 10:45am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Lovin Cemetery in Mooresburg for an 11am graveside service.
