Freddie M Self Jr., age 59, of Morristown, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He worked in concrete for more than 30 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Freddie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was excited about his grandson being born next week.
Preceding him in death was his father, Fred M Self; mother, Brenda Kay Weems; brother, Jason Self; stepson, Clinton Arnold; and grandparents, Roy C. and Maude E. McCarter, and Tony and Edna Self.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Dawn Hickman; son, Scotty and Chelsea Self; daughter, Kenzie Short; stepsons, Lee Short, TJ French, Greg Purkey; grandchildren, Christian McLamb, Elaina Short, Bryson Arnold, Jayden Purkey, and one on the way; brothers, Tim G Self and Eddie Lee Self; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Three Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Rev Stanley Carpenter officiating.
