Phyllis Rhea (Friesland) Taylor

Phyllis was born on October 15, 1943 in Johnson City, TN. In 1960, she moved to Swannanoa, NC. It was there she met Robert. Phyllis worked for the Wagner/Cooper Bussmann corporation for 26 years and then enjoyed retirement. Phyllis was an active member of Swannanoa Christian Church for over 25 years. When they moved to Nebo, NC in 1995, she became a member of Spruce Pine Christian Church until her death. In her retirement, Phyllis enjoyed thrift shopping, crafting, camping and was an avid reader.

Those left behind to cherish Phyllis' memory include her husband Robert Lee Taylor of Nebo; two daughters, Donna Lee Taylor and her husband, Dr. Behshad Baseghi of Santa Barbara, CA and Leslie Taylor Vermillion and her husband, Jon of Hendersonville, NC; a granddaughter, Dr. Jessica Lester and her husband, Aaron of Vacaville, CA; two grandsons, Cameron Kindley and his wife, Miranda of Arden, NC, and Collin Kindley of Hendersonville, NC; a great grandson Maxwell Lester of Vacaville, CA; and a sister, Kathy Vanhoy of Watauga, TN.,

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton has the honor of serving the family.
