Margaret Marie Young

Margaret Marie Wycoff Young, age 91, of Morganton passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Margaret was born the daughter of the late James Prodis Wycoff and Delma Burgin Wycoff on March 31, 1932 in Hildebran, NC.

It can be said, "That some people never meet a stranger", this was true of Margaret. She loved her Lord, family and friends.

Margaret had two careers in her life. First, she worked in textiles, primarily at Pineburr Mills and later she went to work in the furniture industry at Drexel Furniture.

Along with her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Wilson and Harley Young; and two brothers, Robey Wycoff and Danny Lail.

Those left behind to cherish Margaret's memory include two sons, Dennis Wilson (Debbie) of Morganton and Rocky Wilson (Sharon) of Goldsboro; a daughter, Beverly Hamby (Tim) of Charleston, SC.; two grandsons, Brannon and Trey Hamby; three granddaughters, Skylar Wilson, Carmelita Byrd and Denise Wilson; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Reid of Connley Springs and Elsie Townsend of Hickory. Margaret is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Jamie and Jeremy of Eastview Assisted Living, Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice and all the nurses that have provided outstanding care to Margaret over the years.

Private services will be held later date.
