Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Lovelace, 61, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord after a 7 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She passed on Friday, October 04, 2013, while at Sunrise Rehab & Care, Nebo. Born November 2, 1951, in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Alexander and Marie Heavner Alexander. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lovelace was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Hallman. Mrs. Lovelace retired from Wal-Mart after 15 Years service as a department manager. She enjoyed reading and making crafts. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Lovelace is survived by her husband of 44 years, Billy M. Lovelace, of Morganton;
Three daughters, Angela Hallman & husband, Eddie, Beverly Hardin & husband, Scott and Christina Lovelace, all of Morganton;
Two sisters, Susan Branch & husband, Carl, of Valdese and Pat Johnson, of Morganton; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive her.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 7, 2013, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton, with the Reverend Herman Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Memorial Gardens, Valdese.
