David Leroy Johnston

David was born to the late Andrew David Johnston and Opal Tyler Johnston on October 27, 1947 in Crockett, Texas

David worked as a glass technician at Diversified Glass. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, studying and feeding hummingbirds. David was a proud veteran who served during the Viet Nam war. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one sister.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 5 years Pamela Wiles Eckard of the home, one daughter, two stepdaughters, and two grandchildren. Along with a host of relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton at 2:00 p.m. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy along with the Caldwell Co. Honor Guard. Rev. Jimmie “JR” Richards, officiating.
