Carolyn Franklin Pugh

Carolyn was born the daughter of the late Coburn Virginia Franklin and Cordia Lee Woody Franklin on August 26, 1940 in Avery County, NC.

Our amazing mother! This is how we will cherish your memory, - " a hardworking, fiery spirited and beautiful woman". We were blessed to get to keep you a lot longer than expected and will always cherish that time. Your impact on our lives was immeasurable and we hope we all made you proud. Words will never express how much you are love and will be missed. You were our rock for many years. We are lost without you and our tears won't stop.

Till we meet again. Fly High our beautiful mother. You have been a prisoner in that body for far too long. You belong to God now.

Along with her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Monroe Franklin, and three sisters, Shirley Newman, Cora Benfield and Pat Little.

Those left behind to cherish Carolyn's memory include two daughters, Barbara Lentini of Morganton and Robin Carswell of Lincolnton; a son, Dameion Pugh and his wife Carim of Valdese; multiple grand and great grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Allen Franklin of Hickory; four sisters, Norma Moyers of Valdese, Margaret Grant of Hickory, Teana Rowe of Rocky Mount and Susie Woods of Morganton. Carolyn is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024at Kirksey Funeral Home.
