Benjamin Floyd Sykes, age 55, of Morgan City, LA passed away on Tuesday, September, 27, 2022. Benjamin was born April 4, 1967 in Morgan City, LA to Marilyn Hancock Baker and the late Elmer Floyd Sykes.
Benjamin’s greatest joy was being with his family and becoming a part of his stepson’s life, Zach. Benjamin was proud of Zach. In his spare time he enjoyed shooting pool and riding his motorcycle. He loved his dogs and his Chevy Truck. To know Benjamin was to love him and if you knew him you knew his famous saying, “It’s not about what you got, it’s about what you give.”
Family and friends of Benjamin are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Hargrave Funeral Home.
Benjamin is survived by his companion of 10 years, Charlotte McHugh and her son Zachary Duplantis; mother, Marilyn Hancock; sister Rebecca Sykes and her companion Jerry Mire, Jr.; brother, Jason Baker and his wife Lauren; nieces, Katie Adams, Jaycee Baker and Langley Baker; great nephew, Dylan Adams and a host of other relatives and friends.
