Glenna Louise Silman passed peacefully away on April 22, 2023 at her home in Moreno Valley, California. She was born on May 25, 1953 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She attended high school and obtained her formal education in California. She was part of the “Hippee Generation” of the 60’s and and 70’s. She was the “Hippest of the Hippees”. In her 30’s, God touched and turned her life around. She then entered the Business world and became a successful Manager at Denny’s restaurant, where she learned to become an accomplished chef. Later, she took that business experience and became a Manager of the Sally’s Beauty Supply franchise. Later she became Store Manager at “Hair It Is” Beauty Salon in Rialto. She was well known in that industry and became extremely knowledgeable in her field.
She chose to retired in 2018. She then met through Facebook James C. Baker, a Moreno Valley Park Commissioner in 2017, and then the fun began. She always said those years were the happiest of her life. She was meeting, actors, singers, movie stars and political figures. She also designed and built award winning Parade Floats. She was always laughing and enjoying life.
She leaves behind a loving Daughter Renee N. Hazziez of Las Vegas Nevada, Her beloved brother Lloyd Silman of Kalamazoo Michigan, and the love of her life James C. Baker II of Moreno Valley, California. She also had a dear friend of 30 years Ms. Rosa Pompa and a number of friends who loved and will miss her. She was preceded in death by her father Loren, mother Katherine and two brothers Lyle and Lenard Silman.
Mom it truly rejoiced my heart, you came into that special season of happiness in your life. You were a woman of faith who loved Christ. And I thank God for sending James to love you, make you laugh, smile and enjoy life so much. Looking forward to seeing you forever with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
