Cathy Ann Darcy was born to Lucille Marot and Clifford Darcy Jr., in Maywood California. Her family lived in several cities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties where she attended public schools and college.
Cathy married James Nemback in 1974. They became parents of daughter Darcy and son Jeremy. She was employed by various eating and bar establishments, where she rose to management positions in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. After her father passed away in 1979, she devoted her life to caring and supporting her mother in her retirement for the next thirty-seven years.
In 1993, she married Clay Hage, and became the step-mother to his daughters Audra and Linsey. She joined Clay in a career with the manufactured housing industry as a licensed sales agent and property management administrator. They worked together for twenty years.
Cathy always considered her greatest achievement was fulfilling her greatest desire – being the best Mom she could. She later amended her desire to include being a grandmother and great-grandmother. With each endeavor by her grandkids, she enthusiastically supported them. As they excelled in sports, speech and theatre, and cheerleading, she reveled in their triumphs. She looked forward to the birth of a great-grandson, who provided her with great joy in her last year. God granted her wishes for motherhood and more.
Cathy is survived by her loving husband Clay Hage, daughter Darcy Nemback and partner Allan English, son Jeremy Nemback, step-daughter Audra Anderson and husband Kent, and step-daughter Linsey Hage and partner David Leeman; grandchildren Cameron English and his wife Arielle, Peyton English, Kate and Isaac Anderson, Kylee and River Leemann; and great-grandson Luke English; and, her sister Vivian Grant (John) and brother Clifford Darcy III (Lisa).
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Clifford Darcy.
A family memorial service will be held at the Miller-Jones Mortuary Chapel, which has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements. A private graveside service for the immediate family will be held at a later date at the Riverside National Cemetery.
