Michel Pratt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michel Pratt on November 1st, 2022 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Elaine Chan-Pratt, cherished father of Jonathan (Carol Chik), devoted grandfather to Liam, Henry, and Eleanor. He will also be deeply missed by his sisters, brothers, sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and countless extended family and friends.

Michel came from a scattered family and grew up in a foster home. He met the love of his life in 1977, and married her in 1979 at the Montreal Chinese Presbyterian Church, where he became a member. Raising his son to follow God was important to him and he committed to driving his family to church every Sunday. He always believed in the power of prayer, even during the most difficult parts of his life, even until the very end.

He was a kid at heart and found joy in the simplest pleasures of life, and above all else, he valued the family that he made for himself, one that he was always grateful for, one that he always cherished. His family’s happiness meant his own, and he never denied them of anything he could give in his power.

Michel’s life will be celebrated on November 15th at the Salon funéraire de Côte-Des-Neiges. Visitation will take place from 4pm to 8pm and a service will be held from 6pm to 6:45pm.
