Maria (De Rosa ) Russo

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria De Rosa (Russo) on April 11, 2023. Cherished wife of the late Armando Russo and much loved mother of Adriana (Sandrino) and Tony (Teresa), the proud grandmother of Jonathan (Yovannah), Stephanie (Ian), Melina and Armando and the adored great-grandmother of Alice, Clara, Lucio and Remo. Maria will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives and friends in Italy and Canada.

Maria had a heart of gold and was always ready to entertain her family and friends with a homemade meal. Her many stories and laughs will be greatly missed.

A special thanks to the team on the second floor at the CHSLD LaSalle for their care and attention for the two years Maria was there.

The family will receive condolences at Centre Funeraire Cote-des-Neiges Dignity Memorial, 4525 Cotes des Neiges Road, Montréal, H3V 1E7 on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 3:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 11:30 am-12:30pm; followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00pm. Interment will be held at the Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges (Mausoleum Esther-Blondin). In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
