MERHAR, Julka1917 - 2016It is with sadness that we announce the death of Julka Merhar on April 24, 2016 shortly after her 99th birthday. She passed away peacefully at St. Margaret's Residence. After WWII she left a rewarding career as an admin assistant for a group of architects among others. She leaves behind her last remaining sister Francka (late John Rabzel). She was an integral part of Rabzel family life and was the dearest aunt to Francka's children: Theresa, Mark, Martina, John (deceased), Frank, and Mary and their families. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews in Slovenia. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 27 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home (5610 Sherbrooke St. West Montreal, QC H4A 1W5). Funeral Service on Thursday, April 28, at 11 a.m. at Saint Vladimir Parish (3470 Boulevard Saint Joseph, Montreal, QC H8T 1P6) followed by interment at Notre-Dame- des-Neiges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (http:/ /www.jdrf.ca/).
