Gabrielle Lamont

Born in Wiltshire, England to Cora and Charles, she grew up between Canada and England where she attended secretarial college. Thereafter she was secretary to Marion Frank, head of Radiography, and the Schools of Radiography and Radiotherapy at the Middlesex Hospital Medical School, where she met Philip. They married and moved to Montréal.

She loved gardening, music, art, history, geography, reading and time spent with friends. She volunteered at the Yellow Door and at church, and would often take time to visit friends and family, even when they lived far away.

Predeceased by her brother Peter, she is survived by her brother Tony (Salma) and sister Claire (Adrian), her daughter Marie-Hélène (Mark) and her former husband Philip.

We are grateful to the staff at Château Westmount for their outstanding care and kindness throughout the past six and a half years.

Her funeral service will take place at 2 pm on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at Église catholique Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette, 3535 Avenue du Parc, Montréal, H2X 2H8, followed by a reception from 3 to 5 pm and visitation from 7 to 9 pm at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5610 Sherbrooke St W., Montréal, H4A 1W5.
