Peacefully passed away after a 8 year battle with cancer. Joined the merchant navy at the age of 16 (1944-1945), served his country end of world war 2, where he sustained many injuries which he suffered will all his life. Worked 31 years at Air Canada as Cargo sales rep, retired at 55 years of age (1983). Drum major for Black Watch and Pierrefond Pipes and Drums, Lifetime menber Branch 212 Lasalle Legion, past President of Traffic Club of Montreal and United Service Club, and many other organizations.
His wife Mona Christie passed march 6 2016 and his daughter June Christie passed may 11 2015. Charles will be deeply missed by his son Stuard Thomas Christie who cared of him for many years, seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren and friends.
The family will receive condoleances on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm at Collins Clarkes MacGillivray White; 5610, Sherbrooke West St, Montreal. Funeral service at Funeral Home Chapel at 11h30. The burial will follow at 1:30 pm to Field of Honnor Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, Legion donations would be appreciated.
