I have grown up knowing nothing but beautiful and hilarious stories of my great Aunt Carol. My mother (Bev Smith now Bradshaw) being an only child spoke of Carol like a sister. Throughout the years her, my family and myself have done google searches, emails and other attempts to try and reconnect. I was deeply saddened to hear of Carol's passing, what a nice friendly and helpful lady, We had lots of laughs on two bus trips, to Myrtle Beach and Chicago. God Bless you Carol, you had so much more to do.

A heavy feeling in my heart this morning thinking of Carol a best friend and more like a sister to me.  Being in Montreal for the funeral helped eased the pain.  The Atkinson family are a wonderful bunch we knew you well as Carol spoke often of all of you as she did with all her family and friends.  She was a true friend to all the people she met and the most vibrant person I ever had the privilege to know.  Being in the company of Marlene, Carol Davidson and Jill during our stay in Montreal gave us all strength, our conversations were all centered around Carol with so many  memories we will retain in our hearts  forever.

No words could ease what we truly feel during a loss of a beloved sister, but with God her joy is eternally sealed. 
We will always cherish her memories that not even death can ever steal, she was greatly loved in Aruba were many of her travels landed her, she has left lasting impressions and has build great friendships that will forever remember her smile, her  amazing personality, and always warmly welcomed a visit here at her home in Scarborough.

It was with shock that I saw the passing of Carol today in the Toronto Star. I have never had the pleasure of meeting you Joan but Lucette has talked a lot about you and your family and I will miss Carol, she lived just down the street from me in Scarborough and we went out for dinner a few times. I am Lucette's cousin. Marielle Hébert Stowe Scarborough ON.
