Amalia lived a life that was a testament to the values of love, care, kindness, and devotion. She was the cherished wife of 67 years to Pasquale Ambrosio, and a loving mother to Maria (Leo), Aida, Dominic (Kasia), and Enza (Joe). She was the proud grandmother of Cassandra (Mark), Vincenzo, and a beloved great-grandmother to Amelia and Evelina. Amalia is also survived by her dear sister Mary (Jack), her brother John (Diana), and her brother-in-law Gabriele (predeceased Annunziata). She will forever be remembered by her nieces, nephews, and countless extended family members and friends, all of whom were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Amalia had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures. Whether it was baking her delicious treats for her loved ones, sitting in her backyard feeding her birds, or simply gathering her family together, she created a home filled with love and laughter. Her nurturing spirit and her devotion to her family made her the heart of every gathering.
Her love and presence will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm, with a funeral mass to follow on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 12 pm at Saint Monica Catholic Church, located at 6405, rue de Terrebonne, Montreal, Quebec H4B 1A8.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the incredible palliative care team and all the loving caregivers at Westmount One. Your compassion, dedication, and support brought comfort and peace during such a difficult time. We are forever grateful for the care and kindness you extended to our loved one and to our family.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to the Royal-Victoria Hospital in honor of Amalia’s memory and the care she received.
Rest in peace, Amalia. You will forever be loved and never forgotten.
