William Reynolds Taylor

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday January 12, 2024 at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, Ala., at 945 Lincoln Rd. Family and friends will begin gathering at 10 am.

He was the only child of George W. Taylor and Frances Elizabeth (Bess) Phillips Taylor and they preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Martha Ann Taylor. He is survived by his son, William Ray Taylor and daughter-in-law, Diana C.Taylor and grandchildren Jessica Genry (John David) and Rachael Kerins (Sean). He was expecting a great grandson this month, Finnian Ray Kerins. He is also survived by his best friend, Bessie Lee Krone.

Mr. Taylor (my Dad) was a Navy man at his core. While his active service was about 4 years in the Korean theatre, he was in the Naval Reserve for 30+ years and retired as a CPO (Chief Petty Officer). His civilian career was largely based on what the Navy had taught him. What he learned about electronics he leveraged in the growing IT world in various companies and most recently with the Air Force Data Systems Design Center at Gunter AFB.
