William Perry Baker, age 77, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Perry was a kind and caring man, who gave the best hugs. His patience was short but would help everyone in any way he could.
Born on October 30, 1946 to Sam Rice and Mary Louise Rice, Perry graduated from high school and later joined the U. S. Army. Years after the military, he met and fell in love with Nancy Page. The couple were married for 48 years.
Perry was a printer graphic arts specialist at the State Finance Printing and Publication. He also volunteered his service at Meals on Wheels.
Perry was interested in train tracks, swimming, boat riding, and having lots of fun with friends.
Perry is survived by his brother, Clay (Margie) Baker of Gainesville, FL; nephews, Norment (Betsey) Baker of Troy, AL and Will (Ashley) Baker of Slap Out, AL; niece, Elizabeth (Tommy) Haister as well as a host of great nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Moore, Leon Jackson, Ashley Baker, Mark Pritchett, Joe Mashburn and Tommy Haisten.
