I am so sorry to hear this.  Sarah was across the hall from my mother at Wesley Gardens and we would have some great talks when I would come to visit. My mother was lucky to have had Sarah’s company for the time she was there.

Sarah was so much fun, she could light up a room anywhere  she went.  I remember the day she was sworn in as Revenue Director.  She has Earl Andrews there and Alice Norman and I were invited.  I felt so honored to be invited.  Those were the good old days.. I was honored to be a friend of hers.

Sarah was always the life of the party wherever she was. Such a vivacious personality. She made any family gathering so much fun. I smile thinking that she and Jimmy Buffett went to heaven on the same day. I bet heaven just got a little more lively that day. All my love to Connie, Debbie, Zach, Austin and Chandlar.  Smile for Gaga is having a blast up there!

I met Sarah during my early years of political activism. In 2001 I met with her to get her guidance prior to my campaign for county Tax Assessor up here in Birmingham. She was among the first to congratulate me after my victory. It was honor to be her colleague for six years. We remained in touch long after we each left our respective courthouses. She did a lot of good for our community. Montgomery is better off because of her. 



I truly will miss Sarah she and I worked together for years.  She was more than a clerk she was a friend. She was one of the first revenue commissioners that knew everyone in Montgomery County.  I love our friendship I really loved working with you as a elected official. 

Mrs Spear was such a blessing to Wesley Gardens. She always had a smile and a kind word for me. She will be dearly missed!

Mrs. Spear was a great person whom had a heart of gold! I can remember the first day that I met her which change the way I cared for others. Mrs. Spear and I would have mean fully conversation and would laughter til we cried at time. The smile she had was beautiful and her spirit was unique. I remember the day I start calling her my sweet pea because that whom she was to me. She never forgot her name as being sweet pea. To my sweet pea you will be truly miss and will forever be in my heart.

Mrs. Spear was truly an angel on earth… Her witty personality and straight forward/tell it like it is attitude was truly one in a million. I had the pleasure of being in Mrs. Spear presence during my time at Wesley Gardens. She was truly a beautiful soul inside and out. My condolences to her family the love you all had for her was truly shown. If there’s a Brahim store up there she’s shopping. Sleep well beautiful, take your rest, love you.

Sweet, strong, caring Sarah. I truly believe God broke the mold after she was born. She could squeeze money out of a turnip smiling the whole time as her people skills were amazing. She will definitely be missed by many and by me.

Sarah Spear was,  indeed, a true Godsend, and God only sends His best!
Not only did she love her family, but she shared her love and bright, kind,  spirit with all of us who were blessed to have her touch our lives !
I can see her smiling as God put His arms around her and said, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
My heart is wrapped around Debbie and Connie. I am blessed to be a better person for having Sarah as my precious friend!




Your Mom was the best! I always enjoyed seeing her over the years, with her smiling face.  She was so sweet to me and would listen to my kid problems and made me feel better.  ❤️

I had the privilege of meeting Sarah at Frazer Church in 1995. She was my teacher in the singles class that I joined.
She is a very gifted lady who communicated the love of God to our class. 
She is such a blessing to the Kennington family and the family of God.
