Peggy Joyce Simon

Peggy B. Simon, daughter of Fred and Augusta Bedenbaugh, was born on October 18,1924 in Jasper, Alabama. She grew up in Jasper and attended Walker High School. Peggy married Harry Simon on June 30,1942 and they made their home in Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, her parents, her sister, Bobbie Christian and her grandson, Hunter Pappas.

She is survived by her son Harry James (Clare), daughter Zan ( Greg ) , brother

Fred Bedenbaugh Jr ( Pat), grandchildren Tiffany Pappas, Laura Hassell ( Lee ), Will Pappas, Cole Simon (Whitney), Jack Simon (Ashley), Rebecca Simon Mathews (Wright) and great-grandchildren Isabella and Harrison Pappas, Michael and Hunter Hassell, Lucy and Hap Simon, James and Will Simon, Jack and McLean Mathews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Joe Simon.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery Jan 28, 2023 at10:30am with visitation at White Chapel at 9:30 am until time of service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Saint James School or the charity of your choice.

Nani will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her keen sense of humor and her many wonderful stories.
