Nettie Mae Wallace

She was born and raised in Helena, Alabama and was a graduate of Piedmont College. Nettie was a member of her “Do Nothing Club” with dear friends and the “Merry Widows”, with her church friends at Dalraida Baptist Church, she was also an avid Auburn fan. Mrs. Wallace was a former principal of Highland Avenue Elementary and Dannelly Elementary, and also taught at Goodwyn Jr. High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Wallace Sr.; and daughter, Judith C. Murphy.

Nettie is survived by her son, Thomas L. Wallace Jr. (Mikki); daughter, Janet W. Fleming (Mark); grandchildren, Gena Hancock (Christopher), Angel Snyder, Jesse Wallace (Fran), Leanna Wallace, David Fleming (Taryn), Andi Jackson (Wes), and Jonathan Fleming (Jessie); and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 1:00p.m. at Dalraida Baptist Church, with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00p.m, with Bro. Rick Evans officiating. Pallbearers to include Mark Fleming, David Fleming, Jonathan Fleming, Jesse Wallace, Christopher Hancock, and Brandon Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dalraida Baptist Church, designated for Missions, or flowers may be sent to Leak Memory Chapel.
