Milton was born in Montgomery, Alabama, at St. Margaret's Hospital to his parents, Milton Dudley Kennedy Sr. and Ida Belle Cook Kennedy on December 1, 1948. Milton went on to graduate from Sidney Lanier High School in 1967, he then became a student and graduate from Troy State University in 1971 where he was also a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
Mr. Kennedy enjoyed living life to the fullest, some of his passions included woodworking, music, enhancing and working with audio equipment, electronics, being an Elder as well as the sound engineer at his church, traveling with his family, scuba diving with his children, and photography. He was employed by L'Oreal USA as Regional Manager, which he retired from in 2012 after dedicating his wisdom and leadership skills for 35 years. Milton also served his country in the Alabama National Guard as Helicopter Crew Chief.
Milton Dudley Kennedy Jr. is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Kennedy; daughter, Carrie Kennedy Edwards; son, Patrick Scott Kennedy; sister, Elizabeth Kennedy Toole; and niece, Aimee Stagner Nichols.
He is predeceased by his father, Milton Dudley Kennedy Sr. and mother, Ida Belle Cook Kennedy.
A memorial service for Milton will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 4475 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36109.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117.
