Mildred "Buddy" Johnson Newman

Mildred Johnson Newman “Buddy”, 96, of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. She retired as office manager from John R. Moffet Company and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband’s Thomas R. Newman Sr. and Byron A. Dickman; three sons, Thomas R. Newman Jr. “Tommy”, Marion Terrell Nemwan “Terry”, Richard A. Newman; great grandson Theodore Hartrick “Tad”, her parents Almon Lonzo Johnson and Johnnie Myrtle Johnson; sister Marian Jordan, and brother Almon Lonzo Johnson Jr “Pal”.

She is survived by her son Timothy Daniel “Danny” Newman and his wife Joy; Grandchildren Terrell Lynn Newman, Angie Hartrick, Ramona Thornton, Colby Newman; great grandchildren Tyler Hartrick and Bella Thornton. The Pallbearers will be Colby Newman, Chad Bennington, Tom Hartrick, Jonathon Thornton, John Mastin and Ted Gates.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. with graveside service to follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Brian Miller officiating.
