We are Heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of Linda Diann Scott Rogers of Montgomery, Alabama. Linda departed this life on Thursday, January 11,2024. She was 72 years old. Linda passed away quietly at home after a battle with an illness.
Linda was born in Mobile, Alabama, the youngest of three sisters. Even as a small child, Linda was intelligent and inquisitive, developing a love of reading and journaling that became a lifelong passion. Linda was full of talents and skills. One of her hidden talents was sewing. She was an amateur self-taught seamstress and fashion designer. After graduating high school Linda enrolled in a technical college in Mobile, Alabama where she became a certified bookkeeper and human resource specialist. She utilized these skills in the workforce until her retirement.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Gloria Scott. She left to cherish her sweet memories, one niece and honorary daughter Tracy Danyelle Grove Hendricks (Alvin), one son, Gerald Rogers(Tasha), two sisters, Gloria Jean Scott and Hazel Scott, two nephews, Keith Grove and Jamaal Belcher, three great nieces and honorary granddaughters, Gloria Elizabeth Hendricks, Victoria Jean Hendricks, and Tracee Scottlyn Hendricks, two great great nieces, Wynter-Grace Hendricks Campbell and Leo-Danyelle Wilson, and two great great nephews, Alvin Hendricks Campbell and Jermaine A. Wilson along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service for NANA will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
