Kristine Thomas

On January 8, 1970, Legrande R. “Pete” Wethington, Sr. and Irma (Magnusun) Wethington were blessed with a bundle of joy, their daughter, Kristine DeAnna Wethington. We dare say that they knew at the time of her birth that she would touch so many lives in such a positive manner. Her life’s journey began in Montgomery, Alabama as one of 6 siblings. Her life was full of love and excitement, nurtured by the loving and caring eye of her devoted parents. As Kristine entered adulthood, she decided to dedicate her life to her heavenly father, Jehovah God, and on May 16, 1998, she was baptized, and thus, became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In October 1985, Kristine met the love of her life, Derek Dewayne Thomas (preceded in death in 2020), and they were united in marriage on December 9, 1987. To that union, they were blessed with five children: Tiffany Ann Thomas; Derek Dewayne (Karla) Thomas, Jr; Jesse William (Deseray) Thomas; Jordan Andrew (LaToya) Thomas; Amanda Marie (James) Thomas. Nineteen grandchildren: (Tiffany) Sennecca, Jr., Amerrica, Sirr, India; (Derek Jr.) Karter, Ella Rose, Benjamin; (Jesse) Jeweliana, Aniyah, Jesse, Jr.; (Jordan) JaBrae, Jarius, Joyiah, Jordan, Jr., Derek Josiah (Amanda) Miranda, Bentley, Jeremiah, Jakayla and James, Jr.

Other immediate family members who cherished Kristine’s life are her loving parents, Legrande R. “Pete” (Deborah) Wethington, Sr. (Wetumpka, AL) and Irma (Roger) Magnusun (New Mexico); Siblings: Legrande R. Wethington, Jr.; James R. Wethington; Nathaniel W. Wethington (all of Wetumpka, AL); Samuel Davis (Tennessee); Donna Wethington (Israel). Loving Parents-In-Law: Jesse and Thelma Thomas; Brothers/Sisters-In-Law: Jerome (Cheryl) Thomas; Spencer Thomas; Sandra (Tony) Shufflord; Melvie (Denise) Thomas; Deborah (Ricky) Cunningham; Tracey Hill; Milton-preceded in death (Tanya) Thomas; Valorie Thomas; Noah Patrick (Cammie) Thomas; Edward (Ruth) Thomas; and Katrina Denise Thomas.
