Kathleen McCall Turner

Kathleen McCall Turner, age 100, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In her younger days, she sewed beautiful clothing for her grandchildren. She played Bingo, crossword puzzles, and enjoyed reading, and even read through the Bible every year. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Mitchell Turner; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Walter H. McCall; and her three brothers, James McCall, Charles McCall, and Archie McCall. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Johnson (David), Betsy Curlee (Randy), Kim Wiggins (Gary); son, Kelly Turner (Laurie); grandchildren, Shane Carson (Jennifer), Shannon Horsley (Don), Elizabeth McLemore (Nick), Mitchell Curlee, David Curlee, Kathleen Wiggins, Jessica Powell (Josh); and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2:00pm with a Graveside Service at 3:00pm in Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Shane Carson, Mitchell Curlee, David Curlee, Don Horsley, Nick McLemore, and Josh Powell. In lieu of flowers and because she loved reading, memorials may be made to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, 901 W. Sloan Ave #130, Talladega, Alabama, 35160 in memory of Mrs. Turner.
