John Phillip Simpson

SIMPSON, John Phillip, 63, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 after an illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence E. Simpson. He is survived by his mother, Bettie C. Simpson and siblings, Wade (Kitty) Simpson; Jeff (Linda) Simpson; Paula (Scott) Banks; Susan (Alan) Bobo; nephews and nieces, Kevin (Beth) Simpson; Michael Simpson; Courtney (Jay) Gilliland; Greg (Rachel) Banks; Jennifer (Brad) Scott; Sarah (CJ) Mitchell; Anna Bobo; three great nieces, Hollis, Mary, Caroline and one great nephew, Noah. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and worked many years as a local area business truck driver. He enjoyed using tools, listening to music, cooking, growing Jalapeno peppers, and watching Alabama football. Mr. Simpson was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at Leak Memory Chapel for visitation on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Montgomery Area Food Bank, 521 Trade Center Street, Montgomery, AL 36108 or your favorite charity.
