James Bryant Mosley, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Montgomery, Alabama on Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was born on March 17, 1931 to Juanita (Davenport) and James Oliver Mosley. At age 19, James joined the United States Navy. After basic training, he served in the Korean War and traveled the world aboard the USS William R. Rush. After returning to his hometown of Montgomery, he met his wife, Joyce Wilson. The two were married on September 29, 1956 and shared 65 wonderful years together. James was a devoted family man, a skilled carpenter, enjoyed fishing, and loved to travel. Whether it was a special occasion or just an excuse to fry fish, James loved to entertain family and friends at his home. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 11 and the Alcazar Shriners Motocorp. James is survived by his wife, Joyce Wilson Mosley, children Teresa Levins (Harold) and Michael Mosley (Kim), and grandchildren Ashley Bowman (Wade), Christopher Mosley, Carlie Scruggs (Steve), and Haley Mosley. A heartfelt thanks to caretaker and sister-in-law Belinda Abbott, Kindred Home Health, and Michael Rodgers.
A friends and family visitation will be held at Leak Memory, Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Chapel Service at 2:00 p.m.
