Jack Griffin Springer Jr.

Springer, Jack Griffin, Jr., 49 passed away peacefully at Jackson Hospital on April 16, 2010 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family and friends who loved him. Jack was born on January 14, 1961 to the late Jack G. Springer, Sr. and Sue Capps Springer. He was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Chemistry. He is survived by two sisters, Susan Brewer (Alan) and Sally Springer Friar (Richard) and two brothers, Charles T. “Tim” Springer (Nancy) and Grady Phillip Springer, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two special friends, Daree Nevels and Ray Brazell who were like family to him. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. DeJesus, Dr Richard Ginsburg and the staff at Jackson Hospital for the care and concern they gave to Jack during the last two weeks. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 20, 1:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St James United Methodist Church, 9045 Vaughn Rd. 36117 or to a charity of your choice.
