Helga was born in Hof Salle, Germany. As a child, she survived the traumas of World War II with numerous stories about the protecting hand of God in her life.
In Germany, she met and married her husband, Bill, of 55 years, and moved to the US in 1960 where she worked and co-owned Helga's Hair Styling Studio.
The great joy of her life was serving her Lord Jesus Christ. She was known by all her friends as a great woman of faith and prayer. She was always available to pray for those in need. She enjoyed teaching Bible study classes at her home and in her church.
Helga is survived by her husband, Bill, her four children (Ron Stephens, Audrey Buesinger, Stefani Taylor and Adam Stephens), and her nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 2:00PM at Evangel Church, 3975 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, AL 36106.
