She is survived by her husband, Neal Smith; daughter Mary Faulk; son-in-law Ronnie Stokes; son Grady Pace; daughter-in-law Crystal Pace; daughter Susan Oyler; son-in-law Ryan Oyler; son Buddy Utz; daughter-in-law Peggy Utz; daughter Christy Glaze; son Robert Harris; daughter-in-law Jennifer Harris; son Jerry Harris; daughter Sharon Mosher; and son-in-law Richard Mosher. Left to cherish her memory are at least 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Shirleen was preceded in death by her father and mother, Grady and Polly Baker. Also preceding her in death were her brother and sister; Johnny Mack Baker and Jerri Baker, sons; Willie Pace and Johnny Rufus Harris and a grandson, William Holliday.
Mrs. Harris was known as Mom to all who knew her and her favorite color was blue. Although she was unable to finish high school, she encouraged her children to finish their education. She loved to garden, to fish and loved cheering for Auburn. She worked as a clerk for Citgo. Mom loved to begin every morning with a cup of coffee.
A visitation for Frances will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a Celebration of Life from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
