Floyd Everett Bailey

Mr. Bailey is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Betty Jean Ward Bailey; son, Audie Wilton Bailey (Susan); daughter, Dawn Fain ( Jimmy); brother, James Bailey (Audreynette) of Omega, Ga.; sisters, Kaye Metcalf and Lynda Moorman (Raleigh), both of Tifton Ga, and sisters in law, Ruth Bailey of Omega Ga, and Bonnie Bailey of Tifton, Ga; four grandchildren, Amanda Fain Davis, Jay Fain, Maggie Bailey and Taylor Bailey; two great grandchildren, Beau and Miles.

Born December 8, 1933 in Tifton, Georgia, Mr. Bailey was the son of the late William Elton Bailey and Mildred Amanda Daniels Bailey. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Patrick Bailey and Nelson Bailey.

Mr. Bailey served in the U.S.Navy. He retired from Capital Trailways after 43 years of service and driving over two million miles. He loved his family, music, playing guitar, and could fix just about anything.

Visitation will be held for Mr. Bailey at 10:00AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Leak Memory Chapel, with a graveside service to follow at 11:00AM at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Al with Pastor Tim Meadows officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Woodland United Methodist Church, 4438 Wallahatchie Road, Pike Road, Al. 36064. The family of Floyd Bailey wishes to thank Pat Brannon, employees of Jackson Hospital, Alacare Home Health, and Southern Care Hospice.
