I am very sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Elaine and she was always someone who was friendly and nice. We did not keep in touch after graduation.  I am happy for you that so many people have written their condolences to try to give you comfort. 

To Elaine’s Family,

I worked with Elaine at Fermilab for many years. She was a warm, wonderful colleague. We tackled some thorny problems together, and she was always positive, committed, so competent, and a great friend. Once I was having a hard time, and she stopped by my office with a little card that said “All Is Well in My World”.  I don’t remember what the troubles were, but I carry Elaine’s kindness with me still, and I’m looking at that little card right now, years after retiring. I can only imagine your loss and am so glad I knew her.  My thoughts and prayers to you all.

To the family of Aunt Elaine, 

My name is Giselle. I am married to Ryan, Uncle Pat’s older brother’s son. 

I am so sorry for your loss. My family will continue to pray God’s love and comfort keep you in this season of mourning. 

To say Aunt Elaine was one of the kindest people I have ever known does not do her justice, but she really was. To say she was one of the sweetest people I have ever known also does not do her justice, but she really  was. 

One of my most cherished memories of her was when we witnessed Grandma Gertie, who was her mother-in-law, take her last breath on earth and enter into the Lord’s presence.  Aunt Elaine and I held hands and worshipped the Lord with tears streaming down our faces as we sat next to Grandma.  After all these years, she told me she still had the bracelet I bought each of us to commemorate this kairos moment in time. 

The world is a better place because of Aunt Elaine’s beauty and grace. Thank you for your love, kindness and joy you freely gave to all who were blessed to know you. 

On behalf of myself, Ryan, Christopher, Destiny and Timothy, we say well done thy good and faithful servant of the Lord.

Elaine was a childhood friend who lived one street away from my house.  I have fond memories of Elaine and her family.  I pray for peace and closure.

Such sad news. I first met Elaine in 1966 at the Montgomery School of Ballet. She and I attended Lanier High School at the same time where she was both one of the most academically accomplished in our class and one of the kindest and most gracious people I have ever met. Dear Family of Elaine, 

I am writing to let you know how sorry I am for your loss.  I was a staff scientist at Fermilab from 1999 through 2019.  Although I don't remember my earliest interactions with Elaine, I was lucky enough to get to interact with Elaine on a regular basis between 2006 and 2010 when I was the Project Manager for an experiment called MINERvA that was built during that time.  I was always so grateful for her sound advice and the way she was able to make things happen in the face of what felt to me like insurmountable bureaucracy.  She was not only friendly, but knowledgable and supportive and I know that many of us missed her when she left Fermilab.  

I hope you have many strong memories that will keep you going through this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the family members.  Elaine was a wonderful person and friend.  I’m sad that I won’t see her at Panera again, but I’m glad she is no longer suffering.  Before she was diagnosed with ALS, she was struggling to recover from the loss of Pat.  They were truly each other’s soulmate.  I’m certain they are together and happy once again.
I will think of her whenever I make a latte.
Her favorite order was a spinach and bacon soufflé, bear claw( with a bag because she wasn’t eating it all) and a decaf latte.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Her and her late husband and pug were one of the first couples we met in Woodland Creek.

They were always so personable and welcoming.  Always checking on me during my pregnancy and loving on my son when we’d see them passing by.
