So sorry to read about Byron's passing. I wish I had known, we loved him very much and he held a special place in my heart.  My dad loved him dearly.

Praying for the family.  I will miss Byron.  Byron was a good person who believed in the Lord and shared his belief with many people, including me.   I will miss him and his friendship.

Byron Golden was a friend to everyone he met.  My wife and I always looked forward to attending his Sunday School Class, better known as “The Upper Room.”    He was a man who loved to study God’s Word, but most of all, sharing it.   I loved to buy his meal especially at Fried Tomato, but he was always looking for a way to pay me back.  I have been missing his knowledge and friendship for many months now, but also know God’s plan is far above ours and will look forward to talking with him some future day when God calls all His own home.   I know Linda will miss him every day and night and I pray God’s blessings and peace on her and her remaining family.   UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

Byron will be missed by many.  He was a man of much Bible  knowledge and shared it with anyone he could.


Today would have been our Dad's birthday. Mr. Byron was our neighbor and friend. He used to go fishing with Dad and me on the weekends when I was in high school. He had an amazing vegetable garden every year. I was always amazed by his taxidermy. He brought me an abandoned baby wild rabbit one time that I raised until it was big enough to release and it lived in our yard. So many good memories with Mr. Byron. Also some sad ones. He was one of only a very few friends that stayed by our father's side when he had Alzheimer's. He was also there for us in our father's last few days. He conducted the funeral services for our dad and grandfather. He was a good one and his jolly yet calm personality will be sincerely missed. Much love to Mrs. Golden, Shane and the family. 

I knew Byron Golden at Eastmont Baptist Church.   He was always friendly and had a smile on his face.   I will miss him.   I know his family will, too.   Please accept my sincere sympathy, love and prayers during this time.   Love, Jane Adams Mobley

My prayers go out to Byron's family. Byron was a great man who loved the Lord and was always ready to talk to anyone about their salvation. Byron will be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. B, you will be missed. Thank you for always being a friend to our family. I remember looking for worms in your garden fertilizer before we went fishing, spending time with you in the taxidermy shop, and calling you to our rescue for snakes. I worked with Byron in the early 70's at his taxidermy shop. He was a great guy!
