Barbara Ann Poore

Barbara is survived by; daughters Barbara Mann, Angela Gale and Cathy Barr (Dale) and son Richard Poore (Kim) grandchildren; Andrea Sexton (Heath), Wesley Mann, D'Anna Puckett, Chrystal Puckett, Meagan Burrus (Grayson), Rachel Poore, Samantha Barr and Alana Barr.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Richard Marvin Poore; father Daniel Moore Moncrief and mother Oma Lee Moncrief; sisters; Lonie Couch, Audrey Stewart, Ruth Scoggins and Dorothy Gannon (her special sister and life-long friend); brothers; Carl Moncrief Jr., Roland Moncrief, Acie Moncrief, Dan Moncrief and great grandson Austin Brooks.

Mrs. Poore was known for her strong unconditional love for her family and church. A woman who delighted in the joy of being around her children and grandchildren and rejoicing in their life celebrations. She was a very loving, strong, compassionate, strong willed, determined woman. In the words of her children “Momma was the ROCK!" Her Church family was very important to her and she always encouraged her family to attend Church. She will be remembered by her love of elephants, owls, and buckeyes for good luck. But most of all, she will be remembered for her overflowing love and strength to bring her family together.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 (12:00 PM) at Vaughn Park Church of Christ, 3800 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, AL 36106. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. A committal service will occur at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109 immediately after the funeral service.
