Aaron B. Jones

Jones, Aaron B. (CMS, USAF Retired) passed away on Wednesday, October 28, in Montgomery, Alabama. He was born in Johnston County, North Carolina and graduated from Four Oaks High School in Four Oaks, North Carolina. He received a Business Administration Degree from Troy State University in Montgomery Alabama.

Aaron is preceded in death by his parents James Bethel Jones, Sallie Ann Jones and a brother Ollin Jones. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 58 years, Sara Mae (Burdell) Jones and his devoted son and best fishing buddy Jeffrey Alan Jones of Montgomery Alabama, one brother Ralph (Shirley) Jones and one sister Elgie Jones Temple, all from North Carolina. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Aaron faithfully served his country for 44 years by serving 22 years active duty in the United States Air Force and 22 years in the Government Civil Service at Maxwell-Gunter AFB. He was a faithful member of the University Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Leak Memory Chapel with Randy Medlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, November 1, 2015. Active Pall Bearers will be Wesley Alford (Taft, TN), David Alford (Madison, AL), Lee Alford (Montgomery, AL), Braxton Alford (Montgomery, AL), Parker Groves (Wetumpka, AL) and Keith Golden (Coosada, AL).

Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Braden Alford (Montgomery, AL), Ethan Alford (Madison, AL), John Andrew Groves (Wetumpka, AL), Jason Burdell (Montgomery, AL), Blake Burdell (Montgomery, AL), and Robert Golden (Coosada, AL).
