Charles "Chuck" Douglas Sanders

Charles was in the Navy for 16 years when he retired with honors. He enjoy 70’s music, hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid collector of antiques. Charles was a volunteer at the Talladega VFW. He enjoyed watching western and super hero movies. Charles loved his children and his dog, Buford and black coffee.

He is survived by his children, Julie Sanders, Heather Sanders, Shelby Sanders and Eric Sanders; brothers, Richard Sanders (Tina), Gary Sanders (JoAnn); sister, Martha Culp (Jerry); special friends, Ron and Wendy Richart; former wife, Michelle Brown Sanders and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret White; and Aunt Betty.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Hwy 25 S Montevallo, AL 35115, with the graveside service immediately following at 11:45 am at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119 Montevallo, AL 35115.
