Charles Ray Lemley

Charles Ray Lemley, age 67, of Centreville, Alabama passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born November 15, 1956 to father, Johnny (Johnnie) Givhan Lemley, and mother, Linnie Pearl Martin Lemley Rayfield. He spent most of his career in management for various companies in Florida and Alabama. Charles loved to entertain and cook for friends and family. His favorite memories were spent on vacation with his sons. He will be truly missed.

Charles is preceded by his parents; brother, Luther "L. C." Clayton Lemley; sister-in-law, Joyce Lemley; and brother-in-law, Jim Stacy . He is survived by his sons, Charles Brandon Lemley (Rebecca) and Christopher Adam Lemley (Jonica); grandchildren, Austin, Sarah Grace, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Braden, Hunter and Bronner; brothers, John I. Lemley (Jane) and Andy Lemley; sisters, Peggy Nell Polk (Gene), Twan Stacy and Judith Hammett (Tom); numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews that he loved dearly.

A special thanks to Ann Morgan, who helped care for Charles for several years when he was at home. Also, two more special ladies, Denise Henderson and Simone Patton, caregivers who were so kind to him while he resided at Glen Haven Health and Rehab. We will forever be grateful to these three ladies. To the nurses and staff at Glen Haven Health and Rehab in Tuscaloosa and Oasis Hospice in Tuscaloosa, we thank you for your patience, kindness and love shown to Charles and his family.

A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, AL 35115, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM. Bro. Wayne Keeton will officiate.

He will be laid to rest at Montevallo City Cemetery.
