Carolyn Constan Gunn, age 98, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, the day after celebrating her birthday with her daughters at her favorite restaurant. She was born in New York City and met her future husband, Eugene Gunn, at Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy. They moved to Mountain Brook, Alabama after Eugene received his Captain's license. She devoted her life to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated bridge player and was very proud of achieving Bronze Life Master in the ACBL.
She joins her husband, Eugene Gunn, in eternal life; and is also preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Glenn Hicks and David Click. Left to treasure her memory are her daughters, Carolyn Smith and Debra Click; grandchildren, Angel Copes (Brian), Shea Upton (Jon), Kimberly Smith Reese, N. Lee Smith (Sabrina), and Daniel Click (Brandy); and twelve great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest at sea by her family as she requested. The family requests any memorial donations be directed to a charity close to your heart.
