Left this life to enter Heaven on November 21, 2018. She was born August 29, 1922, in Montana. Ena was raised in Sultan, Washington where she graduated from Sultan Union High School in 1941.
Ena was married for 62 years to Maurice Young. She was a member of the Sultan Methodist Church, where they were married, volunteered extensively, and made friends. Ena served on the Missions Board and as Treasurer of the Board.
She was preceded in death by husband, Maurice; her parents, Charles and Viola (Shank) Wright; her brothers, Eldroe, Vernon, Curtis, Stanley, Perry and Homer; sisters, Alvada Seabrands, Grace Cady, and Fern Wright. She mourned her dog, Maddie.
Ena is survived by daughter, Roberta Jonnet, and husband, James; sister, Eula Schwartz; and nephew, Curtis A. Wright, who she raised after his mother’s death. There are so many beloved nieces and nephews who were part of her life. Everyone stayed at Ena and Maurice’s home and enjoyed their hospitality. Her beloved dog, Tea’ is at home.
Ena was all about family, taking care of needs, directing, supporting through good times and bad. It was in her DNA to do so.
She left Sultan after high school to go to Seattle with friends to work. Jobs included working for Boeing at Plant II during the war. She was an expeditor assuring airplane sections were brought to the assembly line. Ena came home weekends and that’s when Maurice just happened to meet the bus to give her a ride home.
She attended Everett Community College to obtain a Teacher’s Aide certificate and worked in Maltby and Monroe schools.
