Born in Fayetteville, NC on September 5, 1946 to the late Willard and Edna King, Sandra spent the majority of her life residing in Raleigh, NC. She graduated from Dunn High School in 1964 and the following year married the love of her life, former Raleigh police officer Delma Devon “Jimmy” Adams. She was especially proud of being the wife of a police officer and remained married to him until his passing in 1980. She then met and married Lewis Lipshutz in 1992 and remained married until his passing in 2002. She finally met and married Danny Spargo in 2004 and remained so until his passing in 2023. Sandra had many hobbies and enjoyments in her life including playing golf, online gaming, shopping at thrift stores, and decorating her home. However, nothing outweighed the love she had for her family, friends, and helping people in general. She was also an active member of The Capital Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church, both located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Along with her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her husbands, Delma Devon “Jimmy” Adams, Lewis Lipshutz, and Danny Spargo; and brothers, Willard King and Ronald King. She is survived by her sons, Phillip Devon Adams (Angela) and Marcus Delma Adams (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Devon Jain, Ryan Adams, Garrett Adams, Michael Adams, and Easton Adams; great-grandson, Cameron Jain; niece, Veronica Aycock; and sister-in-law, Peggy King.
